RESULTS:
Alcohol in the saliva causes the light cream color of the reactive pad fixed to one end of a thin plastic strip to change to a green color. The more alcohol present in the saliva, the darker the green color will be. Color standards printed on each foil package indicate the intensity of green colors for .02, .04, .08, and .30% BAC. The user compares the color change obtained for their test against the color standards to estimate alcohol level. The appearance of any green color indicates the presence of alcohol.
